I cannot say enough about this place. It’s absolute perfection! Exactly as pictured and yet somehow even better at the same time. The outside space is incredible and there wasn’t a single detail missed. The host provided little add ons that made it feel like we were at a spa. The space is clean, organized, and beautifully decorated. My best friend and I were in desperate need of rest and relaxation and this was the best escape we could have asked for. Can’t recommend enough! Thank you!

My husband and I stayed here for our 20th wedding anniversary. It was exactly as pictured and described in the listing. The entire place was very clean, cozy and welcoming. The attention to detail stood out compared to other places we have stayed in. If we were staying longer, we would have taken advantage of all the kitchen has to offer, but we definitely enjoyed the coffee station! The outdoor area was perfect! It rained the weekend we stayed and we were able to spend time under the covered porch, either in the seating area or the hot tub, listening to the rain without getting wet. The hills and trees provided ample privacy. Location was great & convenient! It was close to the trails. We spent the morning hiking, then came back for lunch, and then went back out hiking. The nearby coffee shop has delicious breakfast sandwiches to start the day. Overall a great weekend that ended far too quickly! We will for sure stay here again and I’ve already recommended this place to others! :)

Even though we live locally, we booked this Airbnb for a birthday celebration for my husband and it was exactly what we were looking for. We wanted a private, peaceful place in nature where we could relax and enjoy a nice evening together. We spent most of our time on the patio, which had a beautiful view and the hot tub was a great added touch.

We loved this shipping container "cottage". The outdoor space is incredible. The bed is super comfy. Well-appointed with lots of amenities. It's in a good location. Easy getting to trails and the town of Logan for restaurants and groceries. Communication is excellent.

Perfect location, ideal layout indoors and outdoors and anything anyone could need. Can’t imagine a better two-person option exists in all of Hocking Hills.

This is by far the best place we have stayed in. The privacy of the patio and hot tub were amazing. We were able to have the garage door open both days of our stay and it was so nice to be able to do that. The place is stocked with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. The bed is super comfortable and the large window in the bedroom allows you to see the stars and surrounding woods. We will definitely stay again when we come back to the area! Thank you for providing such a unique and comfortable place that is so close to the State Park.

The Hillside Retreat was beyond our expectations. A 5-start retreat. Positive: The location was very close & convenient to the various trails. The personal touches provided by the host was wonderful (ie: bottle of wine, robs, slippers, shower fuzz, face masks, diffuser, nice coffee bar, smore's) The night-lights were a plus The communication with the Host was very thorough and she was very easy to reach. The manual provided great information. Felt like you were at a 5-star hotel.

My fiancé and I stayed at the cabin for our hiking getaway to hocking hills state park. The location was only minutes away from where we were hiking and submersed in nature. We loved all the little extras like the robes and slippers. The hottub was probably the best one I’ve been in. The bed was hard to get out of because it was so comfortable I could’ve laid watching out the window all day. It was easy to get ahold of the hosts if we needed something as well. I wouldn’t change anything about the home. We truly loved our stay and can’t wait to come back!!!

Loved our stay, the place is just perfect and nothing short of beautiful. The open door garage is amazing , hot tub was great, it was private and peaceful definitely quite luxury. The bed and comforter was so comfy and the large window in the bedroom to look at the stars was just amazing! Will be booking again!

Very cute little spot tucked away in a nice scenic wooded area. Hot tub was great and well maintained. Bedroom was cozy and comfortable. The place was very clean. Beware, no oven, this isn’t a knock on the place at all I just made the mistake of assuming there would be an oven. Overall, great, 5 stars

Very relaxing weekend getaway. Scenery was beautiful and calm. The place was exactly how the pictures looked. I was very worried about the temperature of the shipping container since it’s winter but the temperature was cozy and felt right! We would love to go back in the summer!

Will 100% Be Back! Positive: The location was just private enough that you felt secluded, but it was close enough to the park and restaurants that you could get anywhere in 10 min. The inside was stunning, cozy, and the hosts provided every nice gesture imaginable. Negative: Barely anything. It was a little hard to keep warm inside , but it was 17 degrees out, so I can’t complain too much.

We found the slippers to be a nice touch! Overalls great experience and no complaints!

We had a great stay everything was super clean and really cozy. Unfortunately our stay was a little rainy but with the covered patio and lots of windows we were still able to make the most of our stay even when the weather wasn’t the best. Highly recommend!

Our stay was wonderful. We booked this lovely clean quaint cozy cabin for our 38th wedding anniversary. Comfortable bed and nice kitchen/bath. It was very private and located on a beautiful hillside. Made a nice fire w wood that was available and enjoyed the hot tub! Old man’s cave was just a 10 minute drive. We will be back!

We absolutely loved our stay! The container home was spotless, cozy, and had everything we could possibly need. Every detail was thoughtfully provided, making it feel both comfortable and special. It was the perfect blend of modern and relaxing — we couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Highly recommend and would definitely book again! Only suggestion is to set hot tub lower- arrived and it was 106. Much easier to heat to temp vs. cool down. Was too hot for a little while.

Exceptional Airbnb! It had all the amenities you could want and more. Wish we had more time to stay and enjoy it. It was our first time in a shipping container, and we loved everything about it. The garage door and patio really expanded the living space. The egg chair swings were a very nice touch. Great location for easy access to the caves and trails. We’d definitely stay again.

The cozy cabin met and exceded my expectations. We loved the surroundings as the Hocking Hills area have been part of our lives since childhood. From the lovely patio and easy to use coffee service we loved every minute.

My husband and I had an absolute fantastic two night stay. The property was exactly as described and shown plus some little extras that took it over the top. There was a little sign welcoming us, stuff to make s'mores, a small coffee bar area with flavored syrups, robes and slippers! The outdoor area is fantastic as well. We were really close to the park and it was a quick drive to the grocery store and restaurants. The property is very private as well. This is in our top three rentals we've stayed at and wouldn't hesitate to book again if we're in the area. Great communication from Tiffany as well!

A retreat for sure!!!! Positive: They thought of everything right down to the smores! It is pure relaxation the moment you arrive. Coffee on the patio in the morning was my favorite from the amazing selection of coffees on the coffee bar. Soaking in the hot tub after hiking sure felt nice. The bed was very comfortable. It was all amazing! Negative: There was nothing I didn't like, the place exceeded our expectations! I would just note if you want to cook something in a skillet/ frying pan, bring one. There's only a very small one big enough for a couple eggs. They have plenty of pots and stuff though!

What a beautiful stay! Great birthday/Mother’s Day trip for my wife with our baby. This host has thought of every little detail and then some. We’d highly recommend booking your stay with them.

The place was very clean, peaceful, and really well located to see all that the Hocking Hills has to offer. The host was super communicative and made it very easy to stay there. The hot tub was great and very clean and new and all the things needed for kitchen and bathroom were provided. The only negative for me was the mattress. I have a bit of a bad back and the memory foam mattress tended to make two people roll to the center of it. I don’t think it would be an issue for one person. Other than that, the place was perfect and super worth the price.

Exactly what we were looking for! Positive: Easy to find. Very private, beautiful property. Only 10/15 minutes from Logan. The patio was amazing! Outside furniture was comfortable. Loved that the fire pit was easily accessible from the hot tub. Cornhole was a big plus, even though I didn’t win one game against my husband! lol The inside is very clean, well equipped. Plenty of bath and hot tub towels, wash clothes and hand towels. Fragrant sprays for shower and bathroom. Oil diffuser in bedroom was so nice! Didn’t get around to making S’mores, but everything was provided. Negative: Bed was a bit uncomfortable. And too many decorative pillows.

We really enjoyed our stay! It was our first time to the Hocking Hills area. We were very close to a variety of the hiking areas and close to restaurants. The patio area was great to enjoy our morning coffee. And it was nice to have a relaxing spot to come back to at the end of the day.

My partner and I stayed for one night and it was really enjoyable; had s'mores (supplies offered by host), enjoyed the hot tub and swings after hiking. This was my first time interacting with red door stays and I wanted to stay in what they called a “box house“ Just me… Trying to get away and seeing this beautiful spot so I signed up! To make a long story short—the entire staff at Red Door Stay were on top of everything that was going on. And they were delightful the entire time. Such a great property – – and I’m looking into visiting some of their other properties within the Hocking Hills area. I loved my experience and I would really like to spend more time there actually.
